Campaign Creation & Digital Marketing
The Brief
-
City of La Mesa sought to reinforce its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and educating residents about new resources and policies aimed at sustainability. The goal was to effectively communicate these initiatives and encourage active participation within the community.
The Solutions
-
Based on research, I identified a significant Spanish-speaking population within the community. To ensure inclusivity, I created bilingual flyers, door hangers, and both digital and printed handbooks for one of the key concepts in their policies, making the information accessible to a wider audience.
The Key Results
-
Tripled attendance of Latino residents at city council meetings and events, thanks to the outreach efforts and bilingual materials.
-
Initiated discussions around making the city website bilingual to further enhance accessibility for Spanish-speaking residents in the future.
-
Achieved a 23% open-door rate for canvassers, with residents responding positively to the Spanish-language flyers, demonstrating the effectiveness of the targeted communication.
